Viz Licenses 'Magic: The Gathering' Manga - ICv2

VIZ Media has licensed Destroy All Humans. They Can't Be Regenerated. A Magic: The Gathering Manga, by writer Katsura Ise and artist Takuma Yakota and the first volume of the series will include an exclusive Magic card. The shonen slice-of-life series, which is up to Vol. 15 in Japan, is set in 1999 and features a pair of high school students, the rowdy Magic: The Gathering fan Hajime and his cool-headed classmate and academic rival Emi. Despite her aloof attitude toward Hajime’s noisy Magic sessions at school, she turns out to be a skilled player herself, and the two become friends over a series of duels. VIZ will publish the first volume in October 2024.

VIZ also announced two Marvel manga series in February (see “VIZ Announcements: X-Men Manga, New Shonen Jump Spider-Man Series”).
