A young gifted genius in the manga Chaos Alchemist finds himself in a troubling relationship with a powerful entity much like Naruto's predicament as a Jinchuriki. Both situations involve each character receiving a seal, either without their knowledge or beyond their control, but only one seal bestows unfathomable powers to the user who must also serve as a host.

Written by 火星动漫, Chaos Alchemist tells the story of a once powerful man named Gu Yun who loses all of his abilities the day a mysterious seal appears on his hand three years ago, an unfortunate circumstance that prompts his sect to demote him from a high-ranking member to a nobody who is perpetually subjected to ridicule. Gu soon discovers that a god has been stealing his powers to help him recover from an undisclosed event that almost culminated in his death. The god chooses Gu on account of his abilities and creates the seal to serve as the mechanism to obtain Gu's powers.

This is essentially the opposite of what transpires in Naruto whose eponymous character gets the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox named Kurama sealed inside of him rather than Kurama choosing him. Not only does the beast lie dormant within Naruto as opposed to outside of him like in Chaos Alchemist, but Kurama grants him incredible powers that the young shinobi learns to master throughout the series by unlocking various forms that manifest in different ways.

In regards to Chaos Alchemist, there wouldn't be much of a story if Gu couldn't regain his powers back, so, interestingly, both he and the god soon enter an agreement that emulates Naruto's role as a Jinchuriki -- to a degree. In return for Gu not cutting the seal from his hand, the god allows his host to entire his godly realm where he can train to quickly gain and even transcend the abilities he originally possessed all while the god continues to leech his powers.

However, Gu must also allow the god to enter his subconscious for reasons unknown, a state that will undoubtedly mimic Naruto's relationship with Kurama where the shinobi "visits" the incarcerated beast who peers out from the cage keeping him trapped inside of Naruto. But Gu's god has an ulterior motive that he shares with the reader, conveying his hope of taking over Gu. Originally, Kurama never formulated such a nefarious plot against Naruto, as he only truly endeavored to break free from his seal.

Although Gu is gifted, it's unlikely that he will ever forge the same type of relationship with the god in his manga as Naruto eventually shares with Kurama. Gu has already expressed his disdain for the god and openly mocks him, mostly by noting the latter's small stature, much to the god's displeasure. Gu's revulsion undoubtedly derives from the fact that the god chose to steal his powers and thus destroying his life when Kurama never wanted to be sealed inside of Naruto; both of them were just as displeased with their current predicament as the other.

Another reason could be based on the fact that Naruto already had years to contend with his fate as a Jinchuriki while experiencing cruelty from his entire village. So upon finally "meeting" Kurama, Naruto had already come to terms with his cursed life, thus enabling him to befriend and want to try and quell the hatred inside of Kurama. Meanwhile, Gu learns of his god's transgressions against him almost immediately upon their meeting, so he's unable to control his anger and frustration at him, forcing the two farther apart. This rocky start will undoubtedly complicate future attempts of making amends should the two ever decide to venture down that path.
