The protagonist from a new manga stumbles upon something that allows him to "cheat" almost like Subaru does in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, but he's able to achieve incredible powers and abilities much like Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia.

In Re:Zero, Subaru finds that he possesses an incredible power whereby, upon his death, he can immediately transport back in time before he died, allowing him to change what he did to avoid him dying again. Subaru ends up taking full advantage of this newfound ability to protect a girl named Emilia while ensuring she successfully becomes the next ruler of her world.

A mage named Magnus from a new manga called The Strongest Wizard Who Makes Full Use of the Strategy Book stumbles upon an encyclopedia that essentially contains everything he needs to know to succeed in his world. Within the 20 chapters that have been unofficially translated into English, Magnus uses the book to find powerful discarded items nobody knows about and learn the weaknesses of powerful bosses to expedite the time it would have originally taken him to level up. Interestingly, the book also provides useful information about important characters, including the daughter of a powerful man, and Magnus decides to use the encyclopedia to help him woo her and get her to fall in love with him.

Having access to such incredible data has allowed Magnus to get stronger exponentially quickly while surpassing those who wronged him in the past, much like Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia. In My Hero Academia, Midoriya is one of the select few from his world who wasn't born with a superhuman ability known as a Quirk. Because of this perceived failure, he was ridiculed mercilessly by his childhood friend Bakugo Katsuki since Midoriya still endeavored to become a hero despite him not having any powers.

However, Midoriya's spirit and drive to help others despite this obvious drawback ends up impressing the number-one hero All Might so much he passes on his One For All power to the Quirkless boy, a decision that later allows Midoriya to surpass Katsuki. A similar situation comes to pass in The Strongest Wizard when Magnus is kicked out of his adventure party for being weak and an ineffective member of the team. But upon Magnus acquiring the encyclopedia, he quickly becomes much stronger than his former teammates and even saves them from a powerful monster that he's able to defeat on his own.

Like Re:Zero's Subaru, Magnus from The Strongest Wizard manga comes across a cheat that helps him achieve incredible powers. These abilities later allow him to overcome people who had once betrayed his trust, similar to Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia.
