2gether is a 2020 Thai television series written by JittiRain. JittiRain had written the novel of the same name and it came out in 2019. Hiromasa Okujima has announced that he will author a manga based on this story. Wani Books announced the news on Friday. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming manga.
2gether: The Series
Weerachit Thongjila directed the Thai series and GMMTV had produced it with Housestories 8. The series was a massive hit and gained international recognition. It is one of the major contributors to bringing the boys’ love genre to international prominence. Additionally, it became the most streamed Thai series in this genre. The series is now also available on Netflix, along with LINE TV and YouTube.

The series ran on GMMTV from February to May. JittiRain originally wrote the novel in 2019 and it soon gained massive popularity. The series is a huge hit in Southeast Asia. Additionally, it has been translated into many languages.
Takako Shimura illustrated the story and released its Japanese version. It was shipped all across Japan last Friday. Okajima announced in September that they are all set to release two more manga based on this. The manga will come out in November and February.
Viz Media‘s SuBLime imprint for boys-love manga has licensed SHOOWA and Okujima’s Bad Boys, Happy Home manga. The studios will release the first volume physically and digitally on July 13, 2021. The second volume will be out in October 2021.

So, what’s it about?
The story revolves around two college boys. Tine is a college freshman and is also a self-proclaimed playboy. Green is in Tine’s college and is his gay admirer. Tine wanted to get rid of Green, and so with friends, he comes up with a plan. They decide to make Sarawat his fake boyfriend. Sarawat is an attractive but introverted guitarist and soccer player.
Eventually, they convince Sarawat to play along. The story beautifully shows how their ‘fake relationship’ prospers into a real one. Like any other relationship, it also brings jealousy and insecurities with it.
