These Manga Are An Absolute Must-Read

RuriDragon Is Back In Full Swing

After more than two years of being on an indefinite hiatus, RuriDragon by Masaoki Shindo returned ceremoniously Shonen Jump magazine. The series stands out from the fast and action-paced lineup and offers incredible storytelling that continues to engage. Ruri is a lovable main character as well, and her struggle to adjust despite her glaring differences from others makes her relatable, which is why the series had a strong and loyal fanbase long after it ended, and it is a great read and one of Viz Media's best acquisitions.

Boruto's Post-Time Skip Kicked It Up A Notch

After doubts surrounding the sequel series, Naruto may truly have a successor now

Since the series began back in 2017, the events of the time skip were highly anticipated given the destructive war teased. It is finally here, and although Boruto: Naruto Next Generations was extremely exciting and worthy of being Naruto's sequel, the second part was what people were waiting for. With Boruto returning as a different person, new and sinister villains, and his former friends threaten him. His Shinobi Way is never compromised, he fights for the village and world just like his father.

Ten chapters have been released so far, and they have delivered and surpassed expectations. From shocking developments, exhilarating action, great character development, and huge mysteries, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is in full gear as it heads into even deeper territory.

The Climber Is One Of The Best Sports Series Ever

A classic series finally makes its way to western bookshelves

From the brilliant illustrator of DRCL and Innocent, The Climber is one of the most breathtaking manga ever created. The art is impeccable, the story is simple and interesting, the main character's development is emotional and relatable, and the themes the series represents hit hard. It is one of the best sports manga ever, and Viz Media's announcement of this license was by far the most popular at this event.

The series is a fictionalized depiction of the famous climber Buntarō Katō and revolves around Buntarō Mori. He discovers the thrill and joy of climbing and takes up mountain climbing with the help of his teacher. Rock climbing is a duo sport, but Mori's introverted personality leads him into the dangerous path of trekking mountains and hills by himself. One of the best depictions of loneliness and depression, The Climber would be a killer addition to any manga collector's shelf, and anyone for that matter.

Brilliant Creators Are Coming Back For New Manga

Eisner award winners return for english releases, and so much more

Fans will also want to keep an eye out for manga by established and famous creators. Inio Asano, the award-winning creator of Oyasumi Punpun and Dead Dead Demon's De De De De Destruction, has a new manga titled Mujina Into The Deep that is every bit as interesting as his other creations. The action-packed plot of a katana-wielding assassin who eliminates her targets in a metropolis and the signature beautiful art of Asano make this series one to watch out for.

The creator of Golden Kamuy, Satoru Noda, is making a sports manga called Dogred. Hockey manga aren't as popular as say basketball or football, but this one has an interesting plot. After being kicked out of an ice skating competion for a violent outburst, he joins the hockey team. Although a complete beginner in the sport, his skillset and the aggressive nature of hockey make him a perfect match for the sport.

Many other great titles deserve attention and fans should check out, such as the long-awaited shojo Firefly Wedding or Junji Ito's official continuation of The Liminal Zone. Viz Media's X account has even more comprehensive coverage of their announcements, so it is recommended to check out their account to explore their fantastic new additions. Overall, this has been an exciting event that updated their portfolio with new series, enhanced existing titles, and increased their digital collection greatly.
