dokdokder.blogspot.com

Himbos have grown in popularity over the years because of their endearing hearts of gold and lack of intelligence. These characters usually have muscular and attractive bodies, allowing their strength to compensate for their below-average brainpower. While these himbo heroes may struggle intellectually, they are typically strong-willed and will fight to the bitter end for what they believe in. Here are the five greatest himbos anime and manga has to offer.

Goku - Dragon Ball Z

Dragon Ball Goku Thumbs Up

As one of anime's most famous protagonists, Goku from Dragon Ball Z is arguably the most popular himbo out there. Goku has the typical character design of a himbo, with an overly muscular body that can overpower his enemies. While Goku is a genius when it comes to combat, he lacks understanding of the world around him. For instance, he agreed to marry Chi-Chi because he thought marriage was a food -- and his love of food offers comedic relief throughout the series, as he tends to worry more about eating than getting beaten in a fight. Despite his childish innocence, Goku is incredibly sincere and cares about others. He is selfless and always uses his immense power to help the greater good rather than himself. Given his pure heart of gold, fans continue to find Goku's goofy and silly antics endearing.

Joseph Joestar - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Another popular series protagonist, Joseph Joestar is the himbo star of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Joseph has a  muscular and physically capable character design that follows the standard himbo formula. While he has a hotheaded and sometimes aggressive disposition, Joseph can also be goofy and lazy. He has an overly carefree approach to combat and prefers to taunt his enemies so he has an opportunity to show off. Despite being more violent and temperamental than most himbos, his heart is always in the right place and he protects those he loves. With a charismatic and often comical attitude, Joseph has become a himbo beloved by anime fans.

Might Guy - Naruto

Might Guy smiles, winks, and makes the thumbs up sign

Might Guy from Naruto is known for his overenthusiastic and positive outlook in the face of adversary. His quirky and outgoing behavior seems absurd to other shinobi, often annoying his own teammates. While he yells about the "Power of Youth" and challenges Kakashi to fights he knows he can't win, most fans remember Might Guy for his discipline and grit. As a master of taijutsu, his physical strength is second to none, and this is reflected in his overly muscular character design. Despite being seen as a goofy character who overestimates his own abilities, Might Guy becomes a war hero and proves his superior combat abilities when nearly sacrificing himself in the Fourth Great Ninja War by opening the Eight Inner Gates.

Mirio Togata (Lemillion) - My Hero Academia

Lemillion winking

Mirio Togata, also known by his hero name Lemillion, is the perfect example of a himbo in My Hero Academia. Given his strong and capable body and his unwavering heart of gold, Mirio was the top candidate to become All Might's successor until he met Izuku Midoriya. With a blinding smile and charismatic optimism, Mirio is the ideal image of a top hero who instills faith and trust in the general public. Despite being an incredibly strong and capable hero who others admire and respect, Mirio doesn't actively seek attention or accolades. Not only does he embody the himbo character type perfectly, but he's also accompanied by classmate Eijiro Kirishima aka Red Riot as another ideal himbo in the series.

Kamina - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Kamina Leads The Charge

Kamina is the hotheaded himbo protagonist of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. He is more arrogant than the average himbo, giving grandiose speeches and calling himself the "Mighty Kamina." He can also be reckless and fearless, leading him to engage in unthinkable and dangerous situations. However, despite his impulsiveness, Kamina's devotion and protectiveness to his friends is endearing. While he may put himself in harm's way without thinking, he has the physical strength and capabilities to back up his overconfidence. Kamina's goals and motivations are commendable, as he also fights for his dream that future children will no longer have to live in fear.
