After over a decade since its release, Attack On Titan has earned many fans that consider it to be one of the best manga ever made. Hajime Isayama, the creator of the series, has recently revealed that it will come to an end in April, meaning that there will be three more chapters.

Though some readers are disappointed and sad to see the beloved manga's final panel, which was teased by Isayama back in 2018, there are other stories out there for them to read. Even if they don't share the same plot or characters, these are some other great manga that Attack On Titan fans will surely enjoy.

10 Tokyo Ghoul — Similar to the titan shifters, ghouls seem to be just like humans as they can easily hide their identities

One of the reasons why Attack on Titan was so compelling when it first released was due to the titans being the predators of humanity. Another manga that has creatures who eat humans is Tokyo Ghoul. Similar to the titan shifters, such as Reiner and Ymir, ghouls seem to be just like humans as they can easily hide their identities.

After being attacked by one on a date, Kaneki, the main character of the series, turns into a mix between a ghoul and a human. Not wanting to eat anyone, he needs to learn how to balance the life of a ghoul while keeping his humanity, similar to how Eren's life completely changed when his titan abilities were discovered.

9 Akame Ga Kill — Night Raid is similar to the Survey Corps as they both want to change the world they live in & gain their freedom

Many characters in Attack on Titan have died. In fact, there are very few characters that are still alive by the end of the series. Akame Ga Kill is another manga in which readers shouldn't get attached to the characters. The series revolves around a group of assassins, called Night Raid, as they fight against the Empire.

Night Raid is similar to the Survey Corps as they both want to change the world they live in and gain their freedom. The Empire's group of fighters, the Jaegers, are similar to Marley's Warrior Unit as they are the antagonists but readers can understand their actions and even sympathize with the characters.

8 The Promised Neverland — its characters could probably outsmart the Survey Corps despite being so young

The Promised Neverland centers around Emma, Norman, and Ray, three orphans that live in Grace Field House. They lived happy lives until finding out that their orphanage was actually a farm and that demons who want to eat them live outside of it.

The orphans need to escape from Grace Field House and find a safe place to live in a world ruled by their predators. While Attack On Titan has a lot of physical action, the characters in The Promised Neverland are in a battle of the mind and could probably outsmart the Survey Corps despite being so young.

7 Neon Genesis Evangelion — After the Angels attack, members of NERV use their mecha known as Evangelion to fight them

Asuka Rei Shinji NGE

Believe it or not, Attack on Titan has a lot of similarities to mecha manga. For those that don't know what a mecha is, it is a story in which giant robots fight each other. These robots are often controlled by the characters in the series. The Nine Titans from Attack on Titan are giant creatures controlled by their inheritors.

Readers that enjoy watching the titans fight each other would probably be more interested in reading a mecha than a fantasy, and Neon Genesis Evangelion is both one of the most popular mecha stories ever, as well as a great introduction to the genre. After the Angels attack, a boy named Shinji, as well as the other members of NERV, use their mecha, known as Evangelion, to fight them.

6 Knights Of Sidonia — If anyone ever thought of what Attack on Titan would be like if it was set in space, Knights of Sidonia is the answer

Knights of Sidonia is another mecha manga. Despite being much newer than Neon Genesis Evangelion, it is also one of the most popular. The series takes place centuries from now in outer space. The aliens, known as Gauna, that destroyed Earth are now attacking Sidonia, a giant spaceship that humans used to escape them, similar to how the Eldians in Attack on Titan hid behind the walls.

Nagate, the main character of the series, becomes a Garde pilot in order to defeat the Gauna. If anyone ever thought of what Attack on Titan would be like if it was set in space, Knights of Sidonia is the answer.

5 Deadman Wonderland — as in Attack on Titan, the deadmen try to fight for their freedom & get back to living in peace

Deadman Wonderland is about a boy named Ganta who is sent to the prison/amusement park that the manga is named after for supposedly killing his friends. There, he meets a girl named Shiro that he used to be friends with but has no memory of and discovers that he can control his blood in order to fight.

Those that have this ability are known as deadmen, and like titan shifters, there are very few of them. Also like Attack on Titan, as well as other manga on this list, the deadmen try to fight for their freedom and get back to living in peace.

4 Parasyte — Shinichi never thought he would be anything but human & must learn how to work with the parasite that he is connected to

shinichi parasyte

In one of the most shocking plot twists of Attack on Titan, it was revealed that many of the titans were created due to an injection of a serum. After becoming a titan, the chances of becoming the person they once were was very slim. Though it isn't an injection, Parasyte revolves around parasites taking control of humans after going inside of them and how the main character, Shinichi, was able to keep his humanity after one of these parasites entered his body.

Similar to characters like Eren and Ymir, Shinichi never thought that he would be anything but human and must learn how to work with Magi, the parasite that he is connected to.

3 Claymore — Like Attack on Titan, Claymore is set on an island with many districts during medieval times

Clare from Claymore (1)

Humans are attacked by Yoma, demons that can shapeshift. In order to defend themselves, The Organizations made the Claymores, which are a mix between a Yoma and a human.

One of these humans, named Clare, saves a boy named Raki, whose family had been killed by a Yoma. The two of them travel around the island they live in, fighting against the Yoma, as Raki learns to become a fighter like the Claymore that rescued him.

2 Hellsing — For readers that tend to like villains more than heroes, Hellsing is definitely one manga to check out

Ghouls, demons, aliens, and now vampires too. There are a lot of different creatures that titans are similar to, but that isn't the only reason that Hellsing is like Attack on Titan. Though he was the protagonist of the series at first, many readers now consider Eren to be the villain of the story.

He's killed more people than anyone else, ultimately becoming the most powerful titan and one of the greatest killers in any manga story ever. Alucard from Hellsing is also a villain and the strongest vampire. For readers that tend to like villains more than heroes, Hellsing is definitely one manga to check out.

1 Attack On Titan: Before The Fall — The series takes place decades before Eren's journey began & reveals the history that the Eldians believed in

Though the other manga on this list have similarities, none of them are actually connected to Attack on Titan. For those that want another story that takes place on Paradis and shows the Survey Corps' fight against the titans, Attack on Titan: Before the Fall is the best choice. The series takes place decades before Eren's journey began and reveals the history that the Eldians believed in.

Kuklo, a boy that was born as his mother was eaten by a titan, was treated as a titan his entire life. In order to prove to himself that he's actually a human, he joins the Survey Corps. Though there are other spin-offs in the franchise, such as No RegretsLost GirlsHarsh Mistress of the City, and more, the only manga to have more than just a couple of volumes is Before the Fall, and there will hopefully be more spin-offs to the fans that aren't ready for the final chapter.
